The Haagen-Daz Honey Bee Haven<\/a> at UC Davis is a half-acre unique educational pollinator habitat garden that provides the public with an opportunity to observe bees and the plants that support them. It is designed as a series of interconnected gardens interconnected gardens, including “Pollinator Patch,” “Nectar Nook” and “Honeycomb Hideout.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Honey Bee Haven is near the well known UC Davis Honey Bee Research Facility<\/a>. The garden was planted in Fall 2009 thanks to a $125,000 gift from H\u00e4agen-Dazs because many of the ingredients in Haagen-Daz ice cream depend on bee pollinators. Haagen-Daz believed the garden will help raise awareness of the declining pollinator population. By 2018, Haagen-Daz had donated more than $1 Million in bee research<\/a> and had introduced several honey based flavors to support the bees, including their Honey Salted Almond Caramel<\/a> flavor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
