It is designed as a series of interconnected gardens interconnected gardens, including &#8220;Pollinator Patch,&#8221; &#8220;Nectar Nook&#8221; and &#8220;Honeycomb Hideout.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The garden is open daily from dawn to dusk for self-guided or guided tours. To request a guided tour, <a href=\"https:\/\/beegarden.ucdavis.edu\/visit-us\/reservation\/\">please click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Honey Bee Haven is near the well known <a href=\"https:\/\/beebiology.ucdavis.edu\/\">UC Davis Honey Bee Research Facility<\/a>. The garden was planted in Fall 2009 thanks to a $125,000 gift from H\u00e4agen-Dazs because many of the ingredients in Haagen-Daz ice cream depend on bee pollinators. Haagen-Daz believed the garden will help raise awareness of the declining pollinator population. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nestleusa.com\/media\/pressreleases\/haagen-dazs-anniversary-bee-support\">By 2018, Haagen-Daz had donated more than $1 Million in bee research<\/a> and had introduced several honey based flavors to support the bees, including their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icecream.com\/us\/en\/brands\/haagen-dazs\/products\/honey-salted-caramel-almond-ice-cream\">Honey Salted Almond Caramel<\/a> flavor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Haagen-Daz Honey Bee Haven at UC Davis is a half-acre unique educational pollinator habitat garden that provides the public with an opportunity to observe bees and the plants that support them.
