The Haagen-Daz Honey Bee Haven at UC Davis is a half-acre unique educational pollinator habitat garden that provides the public with an opportunity to observe bees and the plants that support them. It is designed as a series of interconnected gardens interconnected gardens, including “Pollinator Patch,” “Nectar Nook” and “Honeycomb Hideout.”

This Honey Bee Haven is near the well known UC Davis Honey Bee Research Facility. The garden was planted in Fall 2009 thanks to a $125,000 gift from Häagen-Dazs because many of the ingredients in Haagen-Daz ice cream depend on bee pollinators. Haagen-Daz believed the garden will help raise awareness of the declining pollinator population. By 2018, Haagen-Daz had donated more than $1 Million in bee research and had introduced several honey based flavors to support the bees, including their Honey Salted Almond Caramel flavor.
